My guest for Rising Stories #45 is Ruta Sepetys. Ruta is a seeker of Lost Stories. She is an award winning author who's first book Between the Shades of Grey is a New York Times bestseller and Carnegie Medal Finalist.
She was the first American writer of young adult literature to speak at the European parliament and was awarded the honor of Knight bestowed by the President of Lithuania in a formal ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius! She was also featured in Rolling Stone magazine's "Women in Rock" special issue.
She even has her own Wikipedia page. Y'all she is big time and I am thrilled to have her on the show. She has two other books that she has written which are Salt to the Sea and Out of the Easy.
